Well, let me just say that 10 'places' in Italy would be too few! So I'm giving a list of 10 cities or areas, which are truly the pride of the nation.
Rome: All roads lead to Rome! Rome is the capital and one of the oldest cities in Italy. It is said that the way most of Europe has shaped out can be attributed to the Roman civilization, whose capital is this very beautiful city. Rome also houses the prime seat of Christianity, the Vatican City. Along with the Sistine Chapel, Rome also houses the Pantheon and the Colosseum. Rome is a culturally rich city, and is one of the best places to visit in Italy with kids.
Milan: Known as the fashion capital of the world, Milan is the economic and financial capital of Italy. The Santa Maria delle Grazie is one of the most famous and beautiful churches in Milan, and is home to the Last Supper Mural. The Castello Sforzesco is a castle in Milan and has a lot of the city's art and collections on display.
