Antigua- Deep Bay Beach is located on the western side of Antigua, just north of the village of Five Islands. On the southern end of its shores is the Grand Royal Antiguan Resort, while Fort Barrington sits on the northern end, 10
minutes hike away. The Fort dates back to 1779 and was used to protect the southern approach into St. John’s Harbour
Deep Bay, like the other 364 beaches in Antigua, has its own unique features. The sand is a sparkling white and the beach itself curves from one end to the next. Sun-seekers are often seen laying back on the sand and occasionally jumping into the beautiful blue waters for a soak. For those taking the island in by boat, Deep Bay is the perfect spot to drop anchor and enjoy the scenery.
A wreck, the Andes, a boat from Trinidad that sank nearly 100 years ago when its cargo of pitch caught fire, lies in the center of the bay, providing great opportunity for snorkeling.
