On the way from St. John’s into the village of Falmouth, turn right onto Farrell road, about a mile and a half past the Spring Hill Stables, up the rugged road, over the hill down to surreal solitude - to Rendezvous Bay. This beach is one of the last remaining untouched, unspoiled beaches left in Antigua. There are no jungles of multi-level concrete resorts, crowds of people or motor vehicle fumes. Just peace, quiet and Mother Nature. This beautiful undeveloped beach is best accessible by boat, but if one is up for an adventure access by land should be done via 4-wheel drive, off-road vehicle, horseback or hiking.
Bird lovers are also in for a treat as the conversation of the “yellow-breasted’ birds fill the air. Occasionally tour groups are brought to Rendezvous Bay to experience this remote and exotic location. There have been a few photo shoots by modeling agencies and magazines at the spot over the years, but they have been few and far in between. Every once in a while, famous jet-setters and ‘super yacht’ owners drop anchor just off the bay and swim or come in by dinghy for fun and sun in uninterrupted solitude.
