Destination Wedding Winners Tie The Knot

Adrienne Scales and Myreon Smith were the lucky winners of the Antigua and Barbuda Celebrity Destination Wedding competition in the United States. This program is organized in conjunction with the Ministry of Tourism in Antigua and its offshore branch in New York. The promotion commemorates June (the month of romance) by giving one lucky couple the wedding of their dreams in paradise.   

The lawn at The Inn at English Harbour was a beautiful sight with gorgeous local flowers and an entourage of onlookers and invited guests who were there to witness this special event. The soft pink decor complemented the beautiful turquoise sea and lush greenery to create a breathtaking scene.

The couple expressed immense gratitude at winning the contest which has allowed them to have the wedding of their dreams and encouraged other couples to do the same.  They said Antigua and Barbuda will always remain in their hearts and felt they were blessed to have been surrounded by such breathtaking beauty and phenomenal people.

The sand ceremony sealed the deal when the couple, holding glasses of Barbuda’s pink sand, representing their old lives, mixed it with more sand, representing their new life as man and wife.

Stylist to the stars and fashion designer, Indashio, was the celebrity at the wedding. He graced us with his talent and vibrant personality while making sure the bridal party looked like a million dollars.

After participating on the VH1 reality show “Glam God” for 8 weeks, Indashio was crowned Glam God. Antigua and Barbuda were the first to see Indashio’s 2010 spring collection and other pieces from lines like his rags to riches collection.

Indashio is keen on philanthropy. In the US he has been active in his community and while he was on the island, he met with the less fortunate children and made them special guests at the event on Saturday evening.

Antigua’s own upcoming celebrity, Shermain Jeremy, was hostess for the evening. The singer is scheduled to launch her debut album at the Rush Nightclub on the evening of Sunday, June 7th and Indashio will be her stylist and guest celebrity.
