Antigua St. John’s - With the ability to boost the tourism sector, create next generation jobs and ultimately redefine the business sector, Antigua is once again poised to unveil a series of new technologies through the 2012 ICT Fest set to be staged between November 13 to 15.
Launched officially Thursday evening at the Sandals Grande Antigua Resort and Spa, Minister of Technology Dr. Edmond Mansoor said he was indeed proud to be in the arena and at the forefront of 4G technology which is to be unveiled in Antigua & Barbuda in the coming weeks.
He said the nation is indeed educating and otherwise preparing its youth for the revolution ahead.
That revolution, as he revealed, is 4G-LTE technology for all.

RE: ICT Fest 2012 Launched
Someone should ask Mansoor what real benefits do 4G brings to the average Antiguan and Barbudan. Howmany businesses in the twin state are poised to take real advantage of the few extra MB/sec download speed?
I say it is a hidden agenda to give Degicel the competitive edge because of perception that some how 4G is so much better than 3G. Not that we should not ultimately move in that direction but there are matters of higher priorities: like bringing real IT to the government offices.
