Baba's Trucking Hawks overtook F&G Trading Retirees by one point in a nerve racking encounter on January 4 in the Harold Lovell Fort Road Rockersville basketball tournament.
The game ended 45-44.
Hawks' Jason London snatched 14 points, while Troy Franklyn topped the scoring list for F&G with a similar 14. Teammates Edwin Williams and Kenworth James netted 12 points each.
In a second encounter, Defence Force Warriors thrashed Hancook Flyers 92-57.
Marlon Charles contributed 24 points for the military men, with 10 assists and 6 steals.
Sean Williams, Kelvin Simon, and Raviel Burton each added 16 to the Warriors' overall score.
Rafique Henry netted 13 points, while Kavari Francis grabbed 10 for the losing side.
