Antigua & Barbuda's National Warri Team won Gold, Silver, Bronze and 4th place at the 8th Annual Swiss International Grandmaster Warri Championships, which were held November 8 - 11, 2012 in Switzerland.
Prime Minister Winston Baldwin Spencer, an avid Warri lover, rejoiced at the good news on hearing of Antigua & Barbuda's success and stated that he looks forward to welcoming the World Championship Event to Antigua & Barbuda in 2013.
The team included world-renowned Warri Grandmaster Trevor Simon, who added yet another gold to his repertoire.
This will make the 7th occasion when Simon has won the gold, beaten only by his teammate September Christian on a previous occasion. In this year's event however, Christian, who is also well known internationally in the warri fraternity, was edged out to take the bronze by fellow national Ulysses Henry, who won silver. The fourth place position was won by Walwyn Barton.
