Antigua & Barbuda's first paralympian, Jamol “Grim” Pilgrim has arrived safely in the UK and is settling into his new, temporary accommodation at the Olympic Village.
Pilgrim will make history when he steps onto the track as the first sprinter from the Caribbean to participate in the Paralympics sprints and long jump.
Pilgrim said he feels very honoured to be competing.
"It has been a long journey and I have to thank God, my strong faith and the faith of my family and supporters that I am here and will be going all out to represent my country and region to the best of my ability. I also want to thank the NOC (National Olympic Committee) and my well wishers and supporters for helping me this far,” the athlete said.
