Antigua St. John’s - Antigua & Barbuda is being represented by five players in what is dubbed the competition for future champions of the region the Junior International Tennis Championships (JITIC) which will be held in El Salvador.
JITIC is considered the most prestigious junior event held by the International Tennis Federation (ITF) for the region.
This competition will serve off on July 28th, 2012 with Under-16 player Shakir Elvin, and Under-14 players D'Jeri Raymond, Jessica Isaac, Cordell Williams Jr. and Justice Christopher.
All the players are in top form, with Raymond successfully completing three weeks of competition in Aruba and Jamaica, Williams Jr and Christopher competing in the Wilson Cup but though not successful, have played a high level of tennis preparing them for this prestigious event.
Elvin, a top-ranked national Under 18 player is preparing in to make his tennis a force to be reckoned with, and Isaac, another a top ranked national Under 14 player working vigorously on the practice courts to make her presence felt.
