Antigua St John's - The Cap Maison Easter Tournament began on April 7, with completion one week later on April 14.
This week-long tournament came with success for Antigua in the Mens Open Finals, as Carlton Bedminister was the winner of the Mens Open finals.
Bedminster, one of Antigua's former top juniors, came up against Glenton Evans of St Lucia in the finals of the Cap Maison-sponsored Easter tournament, emerging as the winner 6-2, 6-0.
Bedminister also had some success in both the Doubles and Mixed Doubles competition, closing out both as a finalist. In the Mens Doubles finals, Bedminster teamed up with Aladin Hammal (LCA), and emerged as a finalist, going down to Trevor Hunte/Cameron Moffat 7-6, 5-7 (3-6).
In the Mixed Doubles competition, Bedminster teamed up with Stephanie Lovell, but lost in the finals to Trevor Hunte/Jane DuBoulay 6-7, 7-5 (3-6).
Tournament organisers hailed this inagural event a huge success, with over 60 tennis players exhibiting their skills in various age categories.
