Big Church Open for Tours

The public will have the chance to tour "Big Church" - the Cathedral of St John the Divine, on Newgate Street, this Saturday between 8 am and 4 pm.
Now that the floor has been removed, people are encouraged to come and see the underground ventilation system and waterworks systems that have been covered for more than 160 years before the floor is replaced, a release said
In addition, pieces of the removed stone floor will be on sale. Proceeds from tours and the sale of stones will go toward restoration work.
