Antigua St. John's - Regional officials are gathered in Antigua for the final workshop in a project valued at one million euros that aims to establish a standardised system of measurement in the Caribbean.
Officials from the Antigua & Barbuda Bureau of Standards as well as representatives from Guyana, Suriname, Haiti, St Vincent & the Grenadines and the Dominican Republic are taking part in the five-day activity.
Several weeks ago, a workshop was held with another group of regional states.
Over the next three days, those gathered here will conduct on-site visits to the National Solid Waste Management Authority facility at Cooks, the General Post Office, APUA Water Laboratory, Seagull Inflatables, Antigua & Barbuda Fishing Association, Caricement, Analytical Services, and West Indies Oil Company.
