How did this dribble become headline news? Next time let them have a street fight in a back alley. A good punch in the nose instead of all this legal mumbo jumbo.

I do not think this case has anything to do with the Govt ,so i am not sure it can be paid from taxpayers moneys.(at least i hope not) The Pm will have to pay from his pocket, both for the defamation& for the cost accured by LB,for filing the case.

Fear of speaking will now rule the day. Now all must be careful. This will change elections outcomes, why? Neither side and use such nonsense talk to attract people. Now we will either get more crazy talk or serious solutions. The one who bring solutions take the cake. Change is good keep it coming.

Don't Sing Bout De Judgment pt 1

#18 Dig It » 2012-02-21 20:17

We have seen "insentative" statements some of our political leaders made toward the court ruling. When you have fellow citizens join the charade it is just "alarming." Yet, for a man that have little/nil respect the "rule of law," I am not suprised! It is funny the Chief of Staff asked the judge to remove herself from "local politics" but he himself struggles to remove himself from the 'shackles" of "political football!" Let's us hope he "Don't sing bout de judgment" on the Big Stage this Summer!

Don't Sing Bout De Judgment pt 1

#17 Dig It » 2012-02-21 20:06

It is just a "sad state" in this country, when politicians continued to have taxpayers "foot the bill" for their blunders in lawsuits after lawsuits! The GOAB has a "reckless" disregard for state's precious resources, especially, in these hard times! How could they asked citizens to bear with, when they can't stay out of the courts? Now, the PM have to cough-up $75,000 for defamatory comments he made (a fu he decision so let him pay it)! And, when the GOAB is not in the courts, they are on the side-lines making ill-statements about judges opinions that are not in their favor. In the recent high court ruling in favor of Sir Watt, the good Senator and UPP PRO said the judge's would

Yet, the Senator and others can't "justify" the PM and the GG "unlawfulness" in removing Sir Watt!

So if Lester had no offshore accounts, then he probably xxxxhed his xxx xxx in Bank of Antigua. That would certainly explain how it was "acquired" so quickly without any objection from the "opposition".

OK Grant Thornton, time to sharpen your pencils, put on your green eyeshades and GROW SOME BALLS.

Morris, I agree with you. Instead of taking care of the poeple's business, they are waisting time and money suing each other. And most of the time it is not even their money.

I see you are suggesting something that I've posted before in the past. I am of the belief that when politicians take each other to court that a portion or all of the judgment awards should go to some sort of charity. After all, it is usually taxpayers that will foot the bill, so why not give some of the proceeds back to them?

The judge should know who you are and sue you.Are you implying that the judge may be making her decisions based on political preferences? Never thought i would say this, but i,m beginning to think you have no commonsense,no wonder you keep defending Baldwin and his dunce Govt.

Eric (notice you have been quiet for some time) , you should apologize to the MP Bird. I Keep telling you stop allow UPP politicians to lead you down the wrong road. Notice how the PM will probably use tax payers moneys to pay this bill and I doubt you (based on your claim you are not close to any UPP politician) have such avenues available for you. I hope you don't take the foolish path of trying to blame the judge since even the AG under oath stated, what the PM stated, was not legally correct.

Baldwin The Barbarian Spencer Defames L.B.B

#8 Stanford Alliance » 2012-02-21 14:19

Well, there was no doubt in the judgment, all the allegations made were with malicious intent, aimed at damaging the character and political career of the Honorable L.B Bird.

Below is an audio rundown of the outcome.

Word to the wise, lies may get you short term gains, but when the hens come home to roost, the consequences may outweigh the benefits.

Below are the results of a poll taken online a few weeks back, it now seems a faithful dog is preferred to the B.S. we have been getting as an excuse for government. (B.S. POLITICAL SUICIDE).

Dear Doctor BS,

If you can't prove Lester Bird has off-shore bank accounts, how can you prove he got any money from the IHI case?

Just wondering!

Maybe you should cut your losses and move on?

Just wondering!

Another loss again? Who will pay this now?

Cool Ruler how sad...you sound like Brother B after the Election cases...people who follow "blindly" will cause everyone to ** their head!

Just wondering!

At the expense of sounding like I am attacking her I have to ask if this St. Lucian woman Remey is the only presiding judge in Antigua? I notice that she has been the one presiding over certain types of cases and ruling in a particular manner. No wonder the CCJ will never be our final court of appeal in my lifetime as these judges are not far removed from local politics
