UPP Rural North Elects Executive

Minister John MaginleyAntigua St. John's - The St John's Rural North Constituency Branch of the United Progressive Party has elected its executive for the 2013-2014 term, with very few changes made to its original line-up.

The branch members unanimously returned John Maginley as their representative to lead them into the next general elections.

Maginley, in his acceptance address, said it was an honour, and assured the membership that he would work hard, with their assistance, to deliver the constituency to the UPP for a third term.

Maginley notified members that "the vacation is over," and it was time to start mobilizing the communities in the constituency in earnest. "We are in campaign mode and our supporters and well-wishers expect us to once again deliver St John's Rural North safely to the UPP family. We did it twice before and we can do it again,” he said.

Paul Ryan was retained as chairman. Ryan called for the support of the membership in mobilizing the constituents.

He promised that his committee would work very hard to guide the members as they reach out to people who have always supported the UPP, and those who wish to join the UPP family.

Ryan said he was looking forward to the upcoming campaign, and invited his committee members to “catch the fire and share the vision” of a third term success for the UPP in the Rural North constituency.

The St John's Rural North Constituency encompasses the communities of Dry Hill, Old Runaway, McKinnons, Sand Haven, Dickenson Bay area, Friars Hill (north), Marble Hill, Weatherills, Longfords West, Paradise View, Yorks, Blue Waters and Crosbies.

That's the dumbest press release ever. Had to come from the Rural North UPP Constituency branch. How can you have an Executive and only name two members?

And they don't even realize who is in their own constituency.

Jackie Spence you making fun of "poor" David? I went to SJA with him. He didn't do so well there. But he is brighter than Baldwin - that's for sure.

Can't wait for ALP to investigate the WPP rip-off. In the mean time he better replace the OLD power plant that Wilmouth say he told him was not new!

I endorse David Shoul to run in Rural North for UPP! I think he is a University Graduate! Apart from the Wadadli Power Plant problem, and the Stadium problem, he is an honest fellow!

CaribArena kindly ask Mr. Ryan who bought the building just to the west of his car dealership!

Is this why he agrees to remain as Chairman, after complaining to the PM about Dear John?

P.S. ask him also who sold the building and who was the previous owner.

There is no Longfords West or East, its Langfords named after the estate owner Langford Lovell. CA not everything is spelt as pronounced.

Maginle y notified members that "the vacation is over," Yep...nine years of vacation! This clown clearly has lost his way!

The sad thing is that after nine years of "vacation" this clown is going to get some semblance of a pension?

Antigua and Barbuda deserves better!
