Jamaican Jailed for Indecent Assault

Jamaican Jailed for Indecent AssaultAntigua, St John's - A Jamaican convicted of indecent assault last month was sentenced to prison when he returned to the High Court on Tuesday.

According to information from the police, Justice Mario Mitchell convicted Noble Mayne on February 16. On Tuesday, he sentenced him to four years at Her Majesty's Prison.


In other news from the police, two bandits who held up a business in Lower Gambles on Wednesday were reportedly nabbed by the police as they fled with an undisclosed sum from the cash register.

After the robbery at around 1 pm, the men had run over to the Woods Mall parking lot where a silver car was waiting for them.

The police were however able to act quickly, and now have two suspects, a 38 year old from English Harbour and a 23 year old from Liberta, in custody. One of the robbers was said to have been armed.



The police are also investigating a break-in and larceny at a restaurant at Fort James, where someone reportedly stole a quantity of alcoholic beverages and an undisclosed sum from the cash register sometime between 1:30 pm on March 22 and 11:45 the next morning.


In Barnes Hill, a woman reported that her home was broken into and several electronic items were taken sometime between 6 am and 12:30 pm on March 23. These included an Acer laptop, a Kodak camera, an HP laptop, a gold chain, and $350.

Very happy the police were able to catch these 2 clowns. Hope they are being interrogated in the harshest of ways so we can glean some information.
Funny how something positive happens and hardly any post, guess if it were some political story .........

my way of helping, an even better show of their effectiveness was how quickly they responded and caught the suspects who robbed the Western Union about two days ago. The quick response shows that the police are indeed out an patrol. Much kudos to the Royal Police force of this nation.

congratulations , we caught a criminal by promptly arriving at the scene and listening to the public. I am happy and i know this force can be the best police force in Antigua and Barbuda, the united Islands.
