Our life is in God's hands, However, he loves us, including you, enough to give us free will to choose (not even politicians does this). This world is a horrible world because of our choices because if we have been using and following God's laws, we would have been much better. Would you really hate someone if they humbly apologize for what they have done to you (they may deserve punishment but it would be hard to hate them)? Would you want to hit someone who will turn the other cheek? Probably not, so, it is safe to say that if we follow God's law, it would be much better.

JLT, some one may have taken the man's life but that person choose to do evil, and hopefully before this man died he had a chance too ask for forgiveness for any wrong he may have done in his life and then ask God to come into his heart and soul. I don't think this man 'gave his life to God' I think someone came and 'killed' this man against his wishes. And if this world was made by God and our lives are in His hands, why is it a HORRIBLE world???
