This is crazy...they keep complaining there are no vehicles and other resources for the police force to fight crime effectively. Here is a suggestion, pool resources from other government office and give and the police. Transport Board have vehicles sitting on; why not give them to the police. Also, some remove other underutilized vehicles from government ministries.

The police force needs to manage its human resources efficiently and effectively. The current system is fails to prevent crimes, as there is no planning or lack thereof. Suggestion, have a team specifically for profiling and ascertain the criminals MO. From reading the newspapers daily it can be concluded the robberies are being committed by the same individuals. Each time a description is given of the gunmen it’s always the same or very close. Additionally, these guys are profiling their targets; the robberies are not adhoc they are carefully planned and executed. Hence, I am inclined to believe ex-military or police are involved.

Antigua is like the wild west.Too many guns in the wrong hands.In my opinion you need a police chief like the late Randolph Burroughs.That man was not afraid to go out into the fields and participate in gunfights with criminals.He had to fight to serve and protect the citizens of Trinidad and Tobago.He had to show leadership.The police chief in Antigua is a political appointment.It has always been that way.That needs to change, promote real leaders,not yes men.Set up joint operations between the army and police.That was one of the things Burroughs did.You have to out gun the criminals and out smart them,also.If any police force member was found giving secrets out,charge them with treason.Take the country back from the criminals.

I am always hesitant to compare Antigua with the US or any developed country but I will share something I read in todays post. New NYPD Tatics slash murder rate. It goes on to say that the citys murder rate which hit an all time low last year continues to plummet thanks to creative strategies that target youth gangs and spouse beaters. Homocide numbers tumbled to a record low of 414 murders in 2012 and down another 33% thus far this year. What Cort and his puppets are doing only God knows. I wish these guys get it together soon.

I don't understand. When police shoot these punks it is one big hue and cry.....remembe r the ones with the stolen corolla? Know justice know peace! The entire system have finally failed. What I talkded about in 2002 is NOW. We have reach the point of no return. The way we educate our children. The way we allow big shots to rob the people without accountability have finally conditioned the criminal elements. This is a text book case of operant conditioning. Gone are the days when we can send our children home for summer vacation.
