Barbudan Denies Indecent Exposure

Barbudan Denies Indecent Exposure Antigua St. John's - A Barbudan man charged with indecent exposure last month appeared in the St John’s Magistrates’ Court before Chief Magistrate Joanne Walsh on Tuesday.

The woman to whom he allegedly exposed himself also gave evidence.

She said on the morning of January 11, at about 7:50 am, she saw the accused while she was out doing her exercise, and asked him what he was doing in the area so early. The man allegedly said he too was exercising.

The complainant said at that point, she remembered that she had left her house and car unlocked, and turned back to secure them. She saw the man also heading in that direction.

According to the witness, the man unzipped his pants to expose his private parts and started making sexual gestures, causing her to become terrified. She picked up a stone and told the man not to come any closer. The woman then went to her father’s place, and the accused was subsequently chased away. The matter was later reported to the police, and the man was arrested and charged.

The woman also told the court that during her run-in with the man, he told her that they were both married and had children together.

After listening to the complainant’s testimony, the defendant told the court she was lying, and that he had been urinating, and not exposing himself as she had suggested. He also said on that same morning, he told the woman he had slept at K-Club, where he was an investor, to beef up security after frequent break-ins in the area.

He told the court he had a witness who saw the whole thing. But the complainant said nobody else had been on the road at the time of the incident.

The matter was adjourned until March 14.

"The woman also told the court that during her run-in with the man, he told her that they were both married and had children together." It seems to me that the defendant needs psychiatric help.

According to JFII, "Oh Gad, Pray Fuh Mi Picknees".
