Mr commissioner first of all do you have enough officers on your force? if so i suggest you assign a number of officers daily to every village, they may be on foot, bike, car whatever, could be a number of eight to ten officers, their job is to patrol these villages day and night, in and out getting to know every resident, teacher, church elders, business owners, make themselves visible, keeping records of all new faces coming and going while at the same time gaining the trust, respect and friendship of said villagers. An officer posted at every school on island is also welcome. How about vehicles are there enough police vehicles to carry out your duties? if not get Shoul to beg China for a fleet of specialty built police vehicles. Finally stop building police station as boarding homes this is not a place for sleep, if you on shift be it 8,10,12hrs there is no time to sleep, after your shift you go home and go to bed with your alarm set for another shift.

Our entire island is now turned into a ghetto where no one or no place is safe anymore.[Antigu a the caribbean Ghetto]. I take my hat off to these security officers especially in times like these and for the females i bow my head cause this is one job i wouldn't do. Our police though better armed and equip are still no match for these bandits, so an unarmed poorly paid security officer who just trying to make an honest living, i say may God always bless and watch over you. This Passport thing always got me confuse since most robbery involves a passport as item being taken, are these passport being ship to other countries where there are then altered and reused by would be criminals to gain entrance to our Antigua? do we have any way of identifying duplicate passport numbers?

"Proactive or Reactive"

The assualt of the security guard is unfortunate and should be of concern to the Ministry of Education and by extension the staff of the Pares Secondary School. This is the only secondary school where there is no perimeter fence- making the entry of intruders enticing and easy . The Ministry should pay particular attention to the area designated as the "School Farm" since it is seculded and open to any one to enter. Hope all the stakeholders can work together to prevent any similar occurrence.

I am sorry this happen to this dear lady but why on earth do we hire security guards without a weapon, i have been going to the bank more often recently, thank God, business is growing, and i see security guards in the bank with no guns. So, I was wondering, if a bank robber comes with a gun what would the unarmed security guard do? catch his bullets with her bare hand or foot? whistle and the bandits weapon would melt? use powerful KUNFU to disarm the bandit? Use Beauty to disarm the bandits?

I need someone more intelligent that i am to explain what are the purpose of unarmed security officers in the world? especially in places where you know if something happens, it mostlikely will require a weapon, guns and bullets?

Someone please educate me here, we think we do not have money in Antigua, yet, we give away money to security officers around the world that can't really secure/protect or even have the possibility of giving a fight to an armed criminal to stay alive and report the crime to the authorities/pol ice.
