Charged With Attempted MurderAntigua St. John’s – Police on Thursday arrested and charged Corwayne Charles Campbell of Martin’s Village with attempted murder.

Campbell, a 32-year-old Jamaican national who is employed as a security officer, is accused of shooting one of his colleagues in the neck early Wednesday morning.

Police reports indicate that shortly before the incident, the two men were involved in an argument while they were at restaurant and bar in Dickenson Bay, and Campbell subsequently used a firearm to wound his co-worker.

The injured man, a resident of Sea View Farm, was rushed to the Mount St. John’s Center by the Emergency Medical Services, where doctors reported that his injuries were not life threatening.

The offence allegedly took place on April 30th, 2010 at Deanery Lane.

He is also facing charges of driving an unlicensed vehicle, and driving without insurance among other traffic-related offences.
