Antigua St. John’s – It was around 2:30 pm on Monday that police officers, responding to a report of housebreaking, apprehended two men who were allegedly caught in the act of committing a crime.
Upon receiving the report of the incident taking place in Hodges Bay, officers from Coolidge Police Station were swiftly mobilised and so intercepted the duo – a 53 year old and a 21 year old, both from Gray’s Farm who were at the time loading large appliances onto a truck.
Both men were taken into custody and are currently assisting the police with their investigations.
They are facing charges of Breaking and Larceny.
Jerome Anthony Moss of Clarendon, Jamaica was convicted of a number of drug-related charges when he appeared in the All Saints Magistrates on Monday.
The conviction was handed down when Moss, who was apprehended at V. C. Bird International Airport last Friday with 2¼ pounds of cannabis hidden in his suitcase, appeared before Senior Magistrate Asquith Riviere.
Meanwhile, police have confirmed that Lorenzo Bright, alias "Rambo" and "Sea 4", who was wanted in connection with a hit and run accident that occurred on 24th July, 2012 on Friendly Alley, has turned himself in to the police.
He was accompanied by his lawyer.
