Antigua St. John's - The police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal traffic accident that occurred on the Coolidge Main Road in the vicinity of the Old Sugar Mill Hotel at 04:55 am on Sunday.
The deadly crash involved a blue and yellow motor cycle registration number A32194.
Dead is 38 year-old André John-Baptist of Golden Grove.
John-Baptist was at the time transporting Joy-Ann Joseph of All Saints Village. Joseph was seriously injured in the incident, sustaining an amputated leg.
According to information released by the Antigua & Barbuda police force, the motorcycle was travelling from South to North on the Coolidge road when it run off the road on the western side into a concrete garbage receptacle.
When Caribarena.com visited the scene around 7:00am the body was still on the scene as lawmen awaited the arrival of a pathologist to officially confirm the death.
