Police Investigate Cause of Robert's Death

Antigua St. John's - Police are investigating the death of Corthwright ‘Syrup’ Roberts, who died late last week at the Mount St. John’s Medical Center (MSJMC).

Roberts had been admitted with complaints of pains believed to have been sustained from a vehicular accident in which he was the victim.

Reports are that Roberts was struck by a vehicle on Federation Road last Saturday July 8, but had initially declined medical attention.

However he was forced to visit the MSJMC emergency room some days after with pains about the body. He was admitted, but died some days later.

In the meantime, Police have also confirmed the identity of the female body that was discovered on the shores near Devil’s Bridge on July 7.

The body is that of 13-year-old Anisha Millett of Bethesda.

Reports are that the she went missing since June.

While some reports suggest that the child's disappearance was not reported to police until days down the line, others indicate that the child's mother had not only reported the incident from the onset to both the police and welfare division, but had also took the liberty of updating the lawmen on the progress of her own investigations.

On Thursday last police released a sketch of the deceased.

This led to a relative coming forward to confirm the identity. Police are treating the matter as a suspicious death, as investigations continue.

I have just read this and I'm wondering if it is the same Syrup that I know. He was always on Fort Road. I have known the Syrup I am thinking of for years since I was a little girl but only knew him by that name...Could it really be the same person? Shortish, dark, rough complexion...I hope not

Oh how that little girl cry out for help over the months and years, and all what was offer to her was more nexxect..Pepper mi dear darling you are asleep now, no one to hurt you anymore. let all those who leave to suffer for the mistreatment you got as a child...RIP...

He has a beautiful daughter in the states that he was so proud of.
