Antigua St. John’s – A 26-year-old man from Bathlodge is in serious condition at Mount St. John’s Medical Centre (MSJMC) after he was reportedly shot and wounded by police early Monday while committing an offence.
Information released by the Office of Strategic Communication (STRATCOM) of the Royal Police Force of Antigua & Barbuda said that officers were responding to reports of a break-in that was in progress at a service station on Queen Elizabeth Highway at the time of the shooting.
Allegations are that when the police arrived on the scene, a man armed with a crowbar exited the building and attacked the officers.
