Antigua St. John’s - The police are investigating an incident that occurred on Tuesday that left two men nursing gunshot wounds at the Mount St. John’s Medical Centre (MSJMC).
Reports are that Greenbay resident Shaun Williams, 23, and 28-year-old Natamba Jardine of Villa were rushed to MSJMC early Tuesday morning after they were shot and wounded in the hand and leg, respectively.
It is alleged that both men had just arrived at a friend’s home in Booby Alley in Point, at about 4 am, when they heard several loud explosions believed to be gunshots coming from outside.
It was further reported that both men, and a female who was with them at the time, had to take cover until the shooting subsided.
Williams received a gunshot wound to his left hand, while Jardine was wounded in the left knee. A household pet, a cat, was also shot and killed during the incident.
Meanwhile, police are also investigating an unrelated shooting incident which took place in Ottos on Tuesday where an 18-year-old female was shot at while inside her home.
It is alleged that the female and a man known to her apparently had a disagreement over an electrical cord he had loaned her.
It was further reported that about 9:45 am, the man stood outside the young woman’s house and began discharging a gun at her; he then fled the scene.
No one was injured in the incident and investigations into the matter are ongoing.
The police are appealing to anyone with information into these two incidents to contact the Criminal Investigation Department at 462-3913\14, or call Crime Stoppers at 800-TIPS (8477).

time for police to do some work
Have a road block around the corner from Millers and they will get some of the guns for sure. They might have to walk with metal detectors to retrieve some of the weapons that will be thrown out of windows etc... but it's a start.
