Antigua St john's - The police and the fire department are investigating two reports of vehicle fires within 48 hours.  One vehicle was completely destroyed.

It was reported that at about 9 am on Monday, a 65-year-old man from Carlisle was travelling along the Blue Waters main road when his white Nissan Frontier pickup, C11327, caught fire.

The driver managed to exit the vehicle without any injuries. Fire tenders from the St John's Fire Department soon arrived on the scene and extinguished the blaze. The pickup, valued at $75,000, was completely destroyed.

Meanwhile, a 32-year-old man from Hatton reported to the police that he parked and secured his white Nissan Tiida, A31441, outside his home around 8 pm on Monday.
