Tourist Dies While Snorkeling

Tourist Dies While SnorkelingAntigua St John's - A 61-year-old tourist died Thursday while snorkeling off Devil's Bridge.

Graham Peel was with his wife and about a dozen people just after noon.

The UK citizen arrived in Antigua on May 17 and was to leave on Sunday May 27.

Reports are that while snorkeling, the man showed signs of discomfort.

He was pulled from the water in a semi-conscious state and placed on his back in a small dingy.

Efforts to regulate the man's breathing were reportedly administered as the group headed back to shore, but he did not respond.

The police are reportedly suspecting a heart attack, but could not confirm this until an autopsy is performed.

“It is believed, according to the doctor, that he might have suffered a heart attack,” sources told Caribarena.

Police spokesman William Holder said, "While he was snorkeling he was having breathing problems. They took him ashore and he died before the ambulance arrived."

Very Sorry to hear the sad news. I first knew Graham from Manchester Tiffany's, Blackburn Golden Palms, and later at Birmingham Locarno. He was a workaholic, there were never enough hours in the day for Graham, any boss would be lucky to have him on their team. My sympathy and thoughts to Doreen.

Mr Fredrick, certainly this is not the time or place for you to be mentioning anything about how they do or do not remember Antigua.. very insensitive and not too bright.. if anything, your comment would make me want to avoid this place.

RIP Peel
