Antigua St John's - The police on Tuesday arrested and charged 24-year-old Troy Francis of Nut Grove, a member of the Royal Police Force, for unlawful possession of 0.7 g of cannabis.
This offence occurred on Labour Day Monday at about 2:30 pm on Fort Road.
They also arrested and charged 24-year-old Akeem Richards of Bendals with stealing a leather bag valued at $250, a Dominican passport, a Samsung cell phone valued at $100, US$301 and EC$495.35.
Richards is alleged to have snatched a Fort Road woman’s bag while she was walking along Market Street on Labour Day Monday. Officers later apprehended him with the bag on the southern end of Cross Street.
A 29-year-old man from St Johnson’s Village has been charged with two counts of breaking and larceny.
