Antigua St John's - The police are investigating an attempted arson at a Potters home, and the wounding of a 16-year-old boy.
The incident allegedly took place at about 3am on Thursday, when the teen was awoken by the smell of smoke inside the house, and alerted the rest of his household.
The youth and his younger sibling went outside to investigate the origin, but while re-entering the house, was confronted by a man armed with a cutlass.
The teen was wounded in the forehead, right shin, and left thumb. He also sustained injuries to his back as a result of being broadsided by the cutlass.

Meanwhile, the police arrested and charged 20-year-old Robert Gordon of Cashew Hill with robbery and larceny.
The Cashew Hill resident is alleged to have robbed a 17-year-old student of the Antigua Grammar School of his Blackberry Bold 8520 cell phone valued at $600, and $13 in cash, while walking to school on Wednesday.
