This is a tragic situation and we do not need to make it any worse. Congratulations go out to “Helps” for organizing the fundraiser and to all those who contributed. It is unfortunate that the father has made such a public spectacle of himself by retaining counsel to retrieve money that is not his. The money was raised For the Benefit Of the Children. “Helps” has said the money will be deposited into a bank account. Thus, the person who opens the account or the Bank will more than likely be the Trustee. The Trustee, based upon the demonstrated needs of the children will make disbursements to the person who has legal custody of the children.

What the father should be doing is establishing custody, since there is some dispute at the moment. Ordinarily, the father would have custody, unless there is compelling reasons, determined by a court, that he is unfit.

The father should not get the money. Was he in the children's life. The owners of the Gas station whether it is Texaco or whomever need to set up a trust fund for them. Money collected should be controlled by someone who is objective and have the children's interest at heart. It is ok to donate clothes and pampers but money is needed.

the father is going about this the wrong way,maybe bad advise ,y cant he do the same like mr help.and it depends on who the kids live with...and by the way this lady was murdered in cold blood for nothing ,and all we can do is fight

The father having been killing his ass out for his family i can't understand the things people would say, when they don't know damn of what going on. THE father only ask for the money to be taken in good course for his childrean well being .He have been agood father, lover and family friend, ms prince have not even buried as yet and the so- call people already collecting, she is not the lotto number she left her two children with their father. The people that's going around spreading this romors u need to stop.In this sadden time the aunty"s have been helping but if u know the father his ahard working man that's looking out for his childrean well being. so u the heart breaker, family destoyer get something to do leave the father and his sweet childrean along.To the dad my god will see u through.

I seriously doubt that 1 person ie the father should be given the money for the kids. There needs to be a trustee Assigned to the children who works in the best interest of the kids to be accountable for the financial needs of the children. The person who untimately has SOLE custody of the childen should be the one who would make requests to the trustee for the distribution of the funds.
Lets not get too caught up in the little things. We have 2 children who have lost their Mom in the most tragic way and will need counselling to help with their grief and anger. Come on people lets not start battling over the mean green lets really step back and look at the real victims. Their Mom's body isnt even buried yet and here we go with the fighting over a measley 5k. That wont last 3 mths in Antigua.

I really wish people would get their facts straight before making assumptions. Half of what is being said is untrue. The man is not absentee. I have known both him and Dorothy for years and they have been together for over a decade raising their children. The Aunt is not the primary caregiver. Helping for a few days to look after a child (not both children) because of unfortunate circumstances does not make u a primary caregiver. Gell allu facts straight before blasting people good name.

It is a really good gesture to donate money for the children. As for the father he is full of s**t. Hypothetically speaking if the aunt is the primary care taker then the money should go to her for the children's needs or go to a bank account. If the report is correct then It really shows where the father thoughts and concerns are directed. Also I would like to know if there is a necessary need for an autopsy if we all know that she was gunned down during a robbery? If she had passed away due to unecessary causes and they needed to find out the cause then an autopsy would be required but hey just a thought. Otherwise I will continue to pray for these youths and the father because he really need to realize what is really important. If he is an absentee father then he need to kick rocks the money is for the children well being.

Is the father really serious? There certainly wasn't, and still isn't, anything preventing him from doing what Helps did. In fact, he should have been right there helping Helps with this effort. Great job doing such a noble deed for the children Mr. Helps. I commend you!

Minister of Helps, that was a very kind of you in collecting a donation for the children. We should all donate, for the sake of the children. It is just terrible sitiuation and I really hope Prince's children get as much loving support from their aunt and other members of the familiy. Now, to have the childrens father wanted the monies collected from the donation handed over to him is just a down-right "shame." Why use the senseless death of Dorothy, as a way to enxixh himself. Such a "heartless"! Helps, you need to burn that "letter" in public, and, not give in, as I am disguted by it!

Humphrey's, I will donate also and my part must never go to the father not 1 penny. You maybe able to put the money in a public trust. Do we have a Children's and Family Services, anyone?
Father - why would you fight to get your childrens money coming from people who want to give them? What make you feel you earn it? The children are individuals and have individual rights. If I was the father i would try to match the donations and make sure a trust was set up and those who take care of them have limited access to take care of their minor needs. You still got child support to pay brother.

This is a travesty. Thats why I do not support these ventures. It is much better to buy some grocerices, donate clothes, pampers whatever.. because here you have family members already fighting over money which is not theres. In addition. If the father has money to go to lawyer then he has money to take care of his children.
