These clandestine deals made by our Governments which should be public knowledge because issues such as these are not a threat to National Security, MUST be considered obeah working against the citizens as well. It is just a matter of time for all "bad deeds" get exposed under this Sun! Now the rabbit is out the hat, heads must roll! Not even "King Hong" can run from this one! Who are the "beneficiaries" of those multi-million dollar fencing contracts? As John French said "follow the money." Were the big contracts tallied by the government's investigation committee? I am sure the "Great Fury" former chairman could answer that question! Does he still hold such position like he did on Colin's show? Whether projects paid or unpaid, finished or unfinished, the tax payers were taken for a ride! I am sure that mansion on hill in Rural South will be properly built with the strongest fence we could find. What a shame? The public (should say concern citizens due to constant denials of many that corruption didn't take place) should let their feelings heard! We are running a government, not a charity!

PLM if such an exception was made, it it exists, I am sure the report into the spending by the ministry of sports would have noted that. Instead it clearly stated that the law broken. Are you suggesting that persons who headed the investigation, which included the Accountant General, do not properly understand the tendering act? Anyway, am I seeing a change in your attitude when earlier you stated no law was broken and now you basically infer maybe the law was broken?

I understand you explanation I do disagree however because the solution would still be to ID those who ill gained. I doubt anyone lost money except ANU people. This must never happen again. I believe it is the will of the majority to investigate so should the wish of the majority of the people. If not an investigation then list the people who got moneythe peoples tax and show us the measurers you took to correct and prevent this from happening again. And by the way what do you think that BS stadium in St Johnstons village that cost 8+ millions that peice of junk sitting in the middle of the village. did we realy need it?

It shows the truck's license plates and 3 guys 2 on the truck one on a forklift on a Sunday picking up materials and non of the 3 look like chef that is to say BLACK nor did they appear to be reading left to right like chef and most Antiguans but rather right to left. If need be Chef will upload these pic to Carib arena and will ask them to post or make available for download these pick's . Chef does not say anything Wrong went on but simply asks why pick it up the Sunday after election? is your name is on this list as having been paid for work ? remember Chef is just asking not stating a fact. ;-)

The tenders board act was amended after 1991 by your ALP brigands to make their self dealing and double dealing legal. Under the current statute, the minister could have requested an exemption, and this would have been a formality under the ALP statute. Whether that was done or not I don’t know, but I’ll leave that to the intrepid CA reporters to uncover.

We already had one that exonerated the MP of any corruption. Most of the contracts were within the margin of error, and the same number of contracts were above market as were below market. I.E. It’s a wash. Recommendations were made in the report, so the question s/b were the recommendations implemented?

Their own non independent team who authored the report stated, in the very report, that the tendering laws were broken yet persons continue the lie that no laws were broken. The report, into the Spending by the ministry of sports, in its conclusions and on page 15 states:

If this is the "official" document that was produced as part of the fencing review, all I have to say is SHAMEFUL! Looks like a child put this together!!!!!! Yet these are the people holding high ranking positions in Antigua? Get real. And Caribarena, is there not a scanner at your disposal that would have allowed a better document to be published?

Aside from the optics(or lack thereof), it's pretty obvious that major thievery has taken place with these contracts. And what role does the Accountant General play when she continuously released questionable payments?

What will Antiguans do to show their displeasure? NOTHING. BUSINESS AS USUAL.

1 Who is Cesar King? is he a registered contractor as set forth by the association of contractors?
2 What other projects has his company accepted and executed in the past 10 years except an unfinished one of this list?
3 how did he make the leap from radio a radio personality on crusader radio to a contractor for the government?
4 what assurance did the minister ask for to ensure that the contract would be finished on time and in spec? from Cesar King , it should be in writing so show it.

Based on the dollar amount for each contract, how can those be considered petty contracts that did not need to go to tender? Antigua lets stand up to these wicked people NOW. Let's flood the streets and let them know we want an inquiry and we want these individuals to tell us where the money went. Also for those who were paid so much money without meeting the %target to be completed they need to pay back the money or be charged with fraud. They accepts public funds without doing the work. Why is Wayne Hewelett getting these contracts, practically totaling one million EC, outside of the tendering process? Why is PDV Caribe paying, some 444K for a fence in the PM's constituency? Showing that the fleecing of this country goes deeper than the "spending by the ministry of sports", there is an article in today's Daily Observer which tells the tale of work for over a million dollars being solicited by public works for road works from Fletcher Prospere without going through the tendering process. The written contract was later given to Antigua Concrete service whose owner sits in Senate on the government side and also ran on the government ticket during the 2009 election(see Contractor sues government for breach of contract, By OBSERVER News - Tuesday, December 13th, 2011)

This money could have been spent more wisely. Marketing our destination. Monies could have gone into education and agriculture. Why did they need all these contractors to do the same Jobs?
Why did they not tender it, and then give it too the best tender?
