They are a joke and still believe they can keep on stealing from Stanford clients, i certainly hope for everyone´s good they are deeply investigated.

What specific victory did Kachroo achieve for any single Madoff victim? I've read that she settled with the US Government and the SEC? Do you or anyone else know the particulars of these claims?

It is clear from reading the Response to Kachroo’s Motion to Intervene that Kate (Stanford Forgotten Victims) and allies, used her blog as a dedicated site to promote KLS services to sign up as many investors as possible and pay up-front fees. Stanford Victims were misinformed , deceived and the naïve felt for it again. It’s so sad. Read the document posted by Caribarena, Response to Kachroo Motion to Intervene with Appendix.

If Ms Kachroo wants to be useful, she should speak to her clients in the Antiguan Government and get the FSRC report released!

The only thing sadder than the fact that some SIB victims paid for Ms Kochroo's motion is that ALL of Sir Allen's investors will have to pay for the response. Legal research and writing, even for an obvious slam-dunk like this one, is expensive, very expensive, and the Stanford investors have too little money left to pay for such sideshows.

Hopefully Judge Hittner has some legal authority to force Kachroo to pay costs involved in fighting their frivolous motion.

Really Latin? - I never stated that Ms Shaw had any influence on what Janvey charged. While I intensely dislike this woman for her attacks on Antigua I agree she has worked hard to obtain SIPC cover for a minority of mainly American victims.

I believe your assertion that Ms Shaw will not be made whole through SIPC cover is incorrect, at least from the communications I have been made privy to. Also my understanding of why these International victims became so angry, was because Ms Shaw maintained she was working for all victims and everyone would benefit from SIPC cover which was clearly not the case.

The whole issue is very sad and Antigua is a casualty of Stanford just like the victims.

Antiguan Abroad- When I spoke of courage I was reffering to the victims taking the action against janvey and the committee not Ms Kachroo.

I know some of the victims involved in this and Ms kachroo was approached by a group of international victims dissatisfied with how Janvey and the committee of lawyers were performing. She took on the case after examining the operation of the committee and believing there was a case to be made against them.

As for my description of Ms Shaw how would you describe a person who started the hateful "Anti-Crime, Anti-Antigua" campaign which had the sole purpose of causing as much damage as possible to Antigua's economy and reputation as possible?

Ms Kachroo's solicitation of clients as you call it was what any lawyer would do, she needed to ** how many people were interested in taking a law suit against the SEC, and if there were sufficient to cover her costs. Again it was the international victims who approached her as a result of her experience with the Madoff case.

Spin Doctor - Somehow, I don't think "courage" has much to do with it...it's all about a lawyer looking after her own pecuniary interests as she seeks out new clients. Did a a group of investors initially approach Ms. Kachroo about this matter, or did she mount a campaign to solicit clients? If you read the legal documents provided by Caribarena, you will note that she also tried to solicit clients from the group headed by Angela Shaw - the so-called "arch enemy" of Antigua (your words).

I am an american investor and really you think angela shaw is against you... she has no influence on what janvey charges. she has been fighting for sipc this year something that doesnt even benifit her more than me. I can be made whole thru sipc she can not. Our government has protections and laws that govern our protection...th at is what she is fighting for..

Looks like the KLS law suit certainly hit a nerve with Janvey and the committee headed by Antigua's arch enemy Angela Shaw.

I guess anybody who dares to question the obscene profits made by the receiver and and the lawyers are going to be in the firing line, especially if they objected to Ms Shaw's hate campaign against Antigua and the ridiculous law suit brought against our country.

At least KLS and these victims have the courage to stand up to the American bullies. I wish them luck but I fear the Americans will do what they always do, take care of themselves and castigate anyone who dares to question their motives.

Interesting.... ..it does appear that Ms. kachroo may not easily get to the big "pay day" that other lawyers engaged in the Stanford mess may be enjoying. Too bad....for her.

In an article printed in Caribarena on March 22, 2011 related to this attorney's solicitations, I had advised against anyone paying Ms. Kachroo a fee (other than a standard contingency arrangement) for her legal representation in this case. But it seems some people might have taken the bait and done exactly that (based on details in the attached lawsuit.....)
