Cort Thankful for the Critical Support

Cort Thankful for the Critical Support Antigua St. John's - Minister of National Security Dr. Errol Cort on behalf of the Government of Antigua and Barbuda and the Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda, has expressed thanks to the Government of Barbados and the Royal Police Force of Barbados for availing four senior officers to travel to Antigua to assist in ongoing investigations.

The officers who returned home over the weekend were able to work with the local law enforcement officers in furthering a number of ongoing investigations to include the recent murder of Mrs. Susan Powell.

Despite their departure, the Barbadian officers, two Assistant Superintendents, an Inspector and a Sergeant, all with specialised skills, will continue to collaborate with the local law enforcement officers on the cases they would have worked on while on island.

The officers were invited to join the team in Antigua to complement the ongoing work of local officers. Both the Prime Minister and Dr. Cort would have indicated that they would be seeking assistance from regional and international partners to assist the members of the Royal Police Force of Antigua in Barbuda in investigating the recent upsurge in crime taking place in the country.

One major initiative coming out of the seven day trip by the Barbadian officers is the establishment of a Major Incidents Room, through which all major incidents will be channeled.

The members of the Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda continue to use every resource available to combat and solve crime in the nation of Antigua and Barbuda. They also continue to seek the help of the public, in shared information, to assist in solving these crimes.

Nil...zero....d e nada! The police chief looks like he is out of it. When will the security minister and PM bring back the Canadians to finish the job they started? Can our political masters gamble itch our safety and security like this? The solution is right before their eyes. The Bajans are not the answer....they cannot cope itch their own crime situation bac in Barbados....wha t did they accomplish here? We need results and solutions not talk fom our politicians. Our Top Flop looks like he is praying for devine intervention in this picture. He cannot even sit up straight when the camera is rolling. That picture tells quite a story. Success for the work of the Bajan imports? No crime plan....no anti-gun violence plan....no Heritage/Redcli ffe Quay security plan...no arrests in the Powell murder....no progress in the other armed robberies.....b ut other than that the trip here for the Bajans was a success. Thank the government of Barbados for all this assistance. Time to bring back the successful Mounties to finish the job they started.
