Antigua St. John’s – Stakeholders in the agricultural sector are being urged to ensure they are up front and center when Antigua & Barbuda hosts the 11th Annual Caribbean Week of Agriculture (CWA), by registering early.
The invitation comes from General Manager of the Central Marketing Corporation (CMC) Dalma Hill and is especially geared towards farmers, agro-processors and other agriculture sector stakeholders.
CWA, the premier agriculture event in the region, will be held here from October 14 to 20, 2012 under the theme, “Celebrating youth and gender in Caribbean Agriculture: each endeavouring all achieving”.
Hill heads the Trade Show/Exhibition Committee, and he maintains that early registration is key to Antigua & Barbuda’s successful hosting of the event.
Registrants are required to pay a US $100 registration fee which covers tent space, basic utilities and security. Additional fees will be charged for specific needs.
Registration forms are available from Central Marketing Corporation on lower Market Street, and the Ministry of Agriculture on Queen Elizabeth Highway.
The registration categories include chemical suppliers; farmers; food vendors; greenhouse providers; insurance companies; and wholesalers. The deadline for registration is August 15.
