It is amazing to see just how much these companies truly care about the health of their customers. They are only interested in MONEY. When one offers a promotion, the other one runs and does something similar so the MONEY does not fly in the other direction. It is now left to the Government to do its job.

With regard to this matter,it behooves all Antiguans and Barbudans to fight back- especially since our concerns are not being answered.After all,from the way these officials have delt with the issue so far (keeping silent),it's clear that they do not intend to do anything about it. Therefore ,we must organize protest or protests demanding that the towers be removed.United we stand,devided we fall.

WELL DONE, is what we will all be. Antigua is the most beautiful of the Eastern Caribbean Islands, and will soon be glowing in the dark at the rate that we are going. What is interesting is that there is no government spokes person who will address this with Caribarena, hey, maybe the opposition may wish to provide their input on the matter, as they may have to deal with it shortly anyway. We guess all the C&W workers are at risk, what about the Digi and Net, even ACT. Are they so proud to be, well just leave it at that.

Indeed Tenman, there is no need to make this a personal issue.
Dr Eddie Mansoor is Antiguan, so sad that as an antiguan he felt the need to speak ill and falsehood about an other great Antiguan one VC Bird. But the good doc knows we antiguans are a forgiving people who sometimes speak and engage our mouth before we use our brain.
However Doc Mansoor it is really time that you face the nation and assure us we are ion no great danger from cell phone towers and wireless services because you have been appointed by the now PM to be a minister and as Tenman said, your first duty as an Antiguan and minister is to stand up for our beloved nation while we are all being slow cooked in microwave. remember your oath as a doc Eddie? first of do no harm . you are close to breaking that oath because we are being harmed it seems

microwave chef well said. Dr. Mansoor is Antiguan. I dislike his stewardship since its been all about making promises he is yet to deliver on. Its even now sad to know that at basic he has failed because the number one role of government is to protect its citizens and residents. However we should not attack the man roots, especially since persons with similar roots have also contributed to our nation.

What does vex me is the fact that he is a medical doc and know how dangerous radiation of any kind can be even to much sunlight will kill you, and a "sunshine" government can kill a nation there is no such thing as "safe" radiation. just how much will let you live and how much will kill you.
The real question should be what if any is the relation between the ministry of information and ACT a local. company providing wireless internet island wide and how safe is this local set up lime and Digi have no reason to care about Antigua but ACT a local company should.
So don't hate on Doc Mansoor , how could any of this be his fault?
he is doing what is right "better to keep your mouth shut and be called a fool than to open it and proof that point.

hola you guys are hammering Dr Eddie Mansoor because he is a medical DR but has no clue about information?
if that where true than all ministers should resign, because non of them have but 1 clue about the matters they think they are in charge of
is Daniel in health a DOC? baptist a farmer? i could go on.
except Maginley he was born to travel so he is in the right place
Dr Mansoor minister of information is not an elected minister, but he is Antiguan his roots is not of his choice it has no bearing on the fact that he is indeed unelectable so don't go there veronica.

can some1 please explain to me how on earth dis man got the telecommunicati ons minister?! HOW?! the man doesn't know anything about computers, let alone cell phones towers n stuff like that. the man is a doctor, and from what i gather, not a very good one either. So how does a man with foreign roots, with no knowledge in the field of technology, and no love for the country become the minister of telecommunicati ons? And if thats not enough, now we find out that, under his watch, foreign companies have been deep frying us? chupsss

this is just plain irresponsible of the minister. As the minister of telecommunicati ons since 2004, he let this situation happen, and now he has the audacity to ignore the media? It is irresponsible and it is undermines his position as a minister and public official. And i am completely shocked by LIME and Digicel. They know they are doing this, cooking us with their towers, and they ignore the media on this matter! I tell you the arrogance with these people known no bounds. tenman- i heard about some petition on wireless road. I hope the LIME head office gets locked down. They deserve it.

Could this be one of the reasons why the rate of cancer is so high in Antigua along with all the old buildings that still have asbestos in them? In other countries people are well aware of the dangers these towers poses to public health and would be up in arms if they are erected to close to schools or residential areas.

Wow, it shows how much Dr. Mongoose cares about the peoples health and concerns that he and others would put the matter on the back burner! The last thing any visitor wants to know is that he or she may be exposed to cancer from the antennas all over island. And I am sure it would affect our struggling tourism industry. Are these antennas more important than the people that no officials can answer the questions or talk about the matter? Why don"t just put the antennas in the back yard of Dr. Mongoose and all officials who supports it?

What should happen is the next time Auntie Paula (aka talkesha) is on ZDK or such, someone needs to phone in and ask her why Lime is trying to kill us. The same should be done when Digicel's PR persons are on talk shows. I have also been told that some persons have already started to get persons to sign petitions to get the operators to fix the problem.

however Lime . digicell and APUA for cell phones what about the "Family owned ACT " any reply from them about this matter?
they might not offer cell phone service but they are big on wireless internet
they might have no towers in use but they should have an idea about safety regarding wireless services.
So Dr Mansoor we wait and tell ACT we are waiting
