Antigua, St John's - There has been a changing of the guard within the Antigua & Barbuda Scout Movement. Replacing outgoing Chief Commissioner Norman Spencer is Charles "Chucky" Bellot.
New Chief Commissioner Bellot was invested in a short ceremony at the Office of the Chief Scout, Her Excellency Governor General Dame Louise Lake-Tack, on Wednesday.
Commissioner Bellot said he is anxious to get to work, as there is much to be done in preparation for the centenary celebration of Scouting in Antigua & Barbuda slated for 2013. He also said he is looking forward to putting together a team of dedicated individuals who share a common vision for the movement going forward.
"We will be refocusing on the youth," Bellot said, "adjusting our development programme to ensure that Scouting remains relevant, educational, and most importantly, enjoyable, fun, and exciting to the Youth of the Nation of Antigua & Barbuda."
