How to Dress like Rihanna.

Our Bajan sister can teach us something about style, especially those of us with taunting Caribbean curves. Our lesson today: how to turn what the fashion industry has traditionally labelled a disadvantage, into an advantage.

Before Lady Gaga entered our world, we thought Rihanna's dos and looks were edgy; now they seems relatively solid. In the world of Gaga, even Madonna is a conservative aunt.
Caribbean Diva Rihanna is starring in Armani's lingerie and jeans campaigns, and not for just any reason. Rihanna possesses one of the hottest bodies in the industry today. She is not considered "petite" (along with many other Caribbean women), and doesn't hide her curves beneath loose jeans or long flowing tops; that's just one reason we love her.
Rihanna knows that in fashion, it doesn't always matter what kind of clothes you like to wear; it's how you wear them. That is why there are two major points we can learn from her:
1. The Blur: On the one hand, Rihanna "breaks her form" with dresses that are full around the hips, or with bell skirts. On the other hand, she balances the silhouette by wearing blazers and shirts with padded shoulders.

Just because there is a lot of fabric doesn't mean it cant be tight
2. The Extreme: Don't be mistaken that tight clothes are only made for slim women. Sure, it looks good on them, but it also can do wonders for full figures. Using skinny jeans, pencil skirts, and tight dresses, the diva attracts attention to her behind, creating a long sensual figure. (Just don't forget the heels!)
