Antigua St. John's - Residents of the Amazing Grace Foundation were greeted with a pleasant surprise on Friday as students from the American University of Antigua (AUA), first semester class of 2016, dropped by with a hefty donation of food supplies and financial contributions.

The donation was made to House Manager Desiree Williams. She told Caribarena that the institution received some EC$500 along with a complement of food items.

The donation came following a charity function held by the students on Thursday night. The House Manager told Caribarena that the school was indeed appreciative of the gesture, especially considering the “tough economic times.”

I applaud the generosity of those caring students from AUA (American University of Antigua). They did a wonderful job in donating their food and cash to the needy residents of the Amazing Grace Foundation. Now, just imagine of how beneficial it would be if other members of the community and businesses around the island were to follow the example of those students and make donation of food,cash,or other consumables to the Foundation. After hearing about so many negative things taking place on the island,I'm thankful for this positive new.
