Antigua St John's - The Pediatric Unit at the Mount St John’s Medical Centre can make a hospital stay for a sick child a little more comfortable thanks to a donation from Happy Kids.
The unit received two tricycles and other toys, while two toddler beds were donated to the Social Services department.
“We’re always happy when members of the business community - in spite of the recession come forward and form partnerships with the hospital," said social worker Koren Norton.
"We’re extremely grateful to Mr Saoud and his team at Happy Kids, and wish them increased business for 2012. The beds donated will go to two deserving families in the community. It will be a difficult choice to make, but we’re happy to be in a position to make choices that benefit families."
Owner of Happy Kids Elie Saoud said, “I’m happy to be able to support the hospital. Kids and the elderly… that’s my passion. So anything that I can do to remind kids who are in the hospital of the comforts of home, I will do. The parents of these kids are the ones who support my business, so this is my way of giving back to them.”

Rather than being critical of the donation, why don't you find out what the needs at the hospital are and make a substantial donation? Ok, let's say he was unable to sell them as you assumed, he saw the need to bring a smile to a child's face by donating the items. Lets be grateful for the small things.
Some donors prefer to remain anonymous; however, he runs a business and wants the public to patronise his business so that he can make future donations. Please tell me what is wrong with that.
