Antigua St John's - The St John Ambulance Association be holding a one-day CPR and First Aid course on November 3. This is a certified course open to anyone.
A release noted that places are limited, so prospective candidates will need to book early. The course costs $100 per person, and will be held at the association's training center at Herberts Estate.
The session runs from 8:30 am to 5 pm, and candidates should arrive no later than 8:15 am.
The association plans to offer similar courses in the near future.
In addition, it shared the following safety tip on the use of ICE – "In Case of Emergency":
"Put this in your cell phone address book with the telephone number of someone you would want called in the event of an accident. The Emergency Services will look through your phone and call the number should you be unfortunate enough to suffer an accident. This way the people who love you will be advised straight away if something has happened to you. If you have more than one number use ICE 1, ICE 2 etc."
