Antigua St. John's - The American Medical Student Association (AMSA), a student organization at AUA (American University of Antigua), is organizing a FREE Health Fair on November 10, 2012 at the Multipurpose Cultural Centre from 9 am to 1pm.
The general public is invited and encouraged to have their vital signs screened completely free of charge by the current medical students.
Persons attending will be greeted by students and subsequently taken to various stations where their blood pressure, Body Mass Index (BMI), eye sight and glucose levels will be checked in sequence.
At the end of the screening process they will be able to interact with doctors and receive educational materials about their overall health. Referrals will be made to Mount St. John if needed. Over 400 persons reportedly visited the Multipurpose Centre during last year’s Health Fair in March.
