Antigua and Barbuda is capitalising on an opportunity to help communities develop effective disaster preparedness programmes.
Two staff members from the National Office of Disaster Services (NODS) will attend a workshop organised by the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA) this month which aims to develop a cadre of trainers who would deliver community preparedness programmes across the region.
The workshop, slated for February 11 – 13 in St Kitts, will be attended by Myron Ward and Naomi Williams-Carvalho.
