Antigua St John's - In times like these we need levity, and the Caribbean Comedy Festival is the answer. The Comedy Festival returns to Antigua with a splash of fun, laughter and humour on Sunday, April 1, at Antigua Recreation Grounds.
The Caribbean Comedy Festival has a decade-old history in Antigua, and comedy lovers can attest that it gets better with age.
Part of the Comedy Festival's attraction is the wealth of talent that converges at one venue for this venerable show. The other part is one never knows what to expect, as the cast varies from one year to the next, mixing fresh talent with the veterans. This change ensures that loyal fans can expect something new and exciting at each event.
Among those who will be representing T&T are the invincible prince of clownishness Learie Joseph, Tommy Joseph, Errol Fabien, the Mal'jo King himself; Louis Antoine, a witty and topical entertainer. Donna Hadad, the only female on the cast, is well-rehearsed and promises to deal with the irresponsible men in society.
From the rest of the Caribbean, the ever-popular lean machine from Barbados known as Trevor “Dynamite” Eastmond; top notch Jamaicans Ity & Fancy Cat and Fatman George will be representing Grenada. Booked so far from Antigua is Birdman.
