The 2011 Jaycees Caribbean Queen Show Committee has reported that it is now in high gear as JCI Antigua prepares its annual Jaycees Caribbean Queen Show.
The show represents Caribbean unity at its highest, a recent release said, with the participation of women from across the region proudly displaying their talents and cultural expressions.
The 2011 Jaycees Caribbean Queen Show Committee has been working feverishly as preparations intensify for the hosting of the 50th annual show on Friday July 29.
JCI Antigua has formally adopted its branded tagline “Integrating the Caribbean through Pageantry,” which represents what the organisation has been doing for the last 49 years.
Senator Leslie Emmanuel sits as chairman for 2011, having held the position twice before.
He said things are progressing smoothly, and Antigua & Barbuda can expect one of the biggest shows ever.
The committee has confirmed the participation of nine countries to date:
Antigua & Barbuda, Anguilla, Barbados, British Virgin Islands, Dominica, Guyana, Montserrat, St Kitts and St Maarten.
This year promises to be an exciting event, and plans have entered into high gear to present an excellent package, in contribution to the 2011 Antigua & Barbuda Carnival celebrations.
A pre-show has been planned for July 27 at the Sugar Ridge Resort.
The Jaycees Caribbean Queen Show Committee expressed its profound gratitude to its many donors and sponsors of this event and look forward to your continued patronage.
It listed sponsors to day as Sugar Ridge Resort - Diamond Sponsor,
Diamonds International - Silver Sponsor, Ayoushe, Royal Bank of Canada and the Antigua Air Station.
