Antigua St. John’s - After a two-month summer break, popular spoken word open mic night Expressions: Poetry In The Pub is inviting everyone to attend the opening session of its highly anticipated Season 4.

Expected to be a packed night filled with eager poets ready to perform, the exciting Season 4 commences on Tuesday 11th September at the Heavenly Java 2 Go located at the boardwalk of at Redcliffe Quay.

Expressions has grown from just a handful of passionate poets to a vast following that consists of both performers and a large audience which sometimes includes visitors to the island. Catered towards highlighting and developing the arts in Antigua & Barbuda, the open mic night provides the right mix of creativity and atmosphere for anyone who attends.

August Rush Productions, organisers of Expressions, are raring and ready to go to unveil the new season with new elements and special surprises. The premiere evening starts at 8 pm, with the first poet taking the mic at 8:30 pm.

Poets in addition to other writers, singers, musicians and dancers are all welcome to take the stage.

August Rush Productions would like to thank everyone for their continued support of Poetry In the Pub initiatives. A special appreciation is extended to the owners of Heavenly Java 2 Go and the regular attendees and performers who’ve made Expression the popular event it is. With the launch of Expressions TV and the continued online publications of The Expressionists, Season 4 is packed with great attractions for everyone.

Performers are not limited to any topic, but August Rush does not encourage or condone derogatory and/or discriminatory remarks of any sort.

Expressions open mic nights will take place every second and fourth Tuesdays in the month, from September 2012 to June 2013.
