Congratulations to King Swallow!! I am from the Point Area so I was a King Short Shirt fan but when Swallow and Shorty clashed in the seventies there was no telling who would come out on top. The competition in those days were the most exciting event of the Carnival. King Swallow is truly deserving of all the praise he is getting now.

King Swallow is truly an Antiguan & Barbudian ICON but in the true sense, he's a Caribbean ICON because he's an cultural ambassador for the calypso artform and I have always, always love his tunes. As a matter of fact, I visited his bar on **enson's Bay back in the 80's @ Halycon Cove Beach and I was just there in July, 2011, only to find out that it was closed, whereas I was very, very disappointed and come to find out that the hotels on that beach shut him down. Shame, shame, shame on them. He will always be one of my favorite calypsoionians. GOD BLESS YOU KING SWALLOW

King Swallow, you have truely earned all of your honors, i remember doing a show in New York with Laviscount B** back in 1996 and eventhough you were not a part of my contracted performers, You showed up and when I ask you to do a song, you gracefully performed not 1 but 4 songs and did so with out pay. It showed then and still do now, how committed to the art for you are. May God continue to bless you King Swallow
