Antigua St John's - The Grown & Sexy UK crew will land on June 16 to bring their over 35's clubbing vibe to the island. Dave VJ has been a DJ and broadcaster in the UK for over 25 years.

He has worked on two of London’s largest urban radio stations, previously at Kiss FM and now at Choice FM. He has DJ’ed all over the world, but has a love of Antigua, because that’s where his parents come from.  

Dave started his own club night in 2008 called Grown & Sexy, which caters for the over 35's, playing old skool 80’s soul, R&B, rare groove, funky house, and reggae. Musically, we play tunes that are predominately from the 80's.

The kind of artistes that best represent our crowd are D'Train, Lilo Thomas, Kashif, Change, Atlantic Starr, Frankie Knuckles, Dennis Brown, and Freddie McGregor etc.

We started doing the parties in the UK because the club and radio scene is very much geared towards younger people and the media seem to think we don't count. Hey, we might be grown but we are still sexy!

With a major birthday approaching, Dave decided to hold his birthday party and bring the Grown & Sexy brand to Antigua.

What started as a group of six friends grew as word got around, so Dave asked a friend who works in the travel industry to help him out (enter Tracy Austin). We have put together a package to sample Antigua’s nightlife, as well as local tourist attractions taking in the island’s beauty and culture.

Dave VJ's Team of Tracy Austin (in the UK), Carol Lake, and Julia Wallace (in Antigua) have worked tirelessly to make everything run as smooth as possible and ensure everybody has a good time.

We are flying over DJ’s from the UK and USA, as well as local DJ Alan Russell, who has been a friend of Dave’s for 20 years, along with De Jam’s Anthony Brightly.

We have arranged 10 days of entertainment for our crowd, with some of the evening events being opened up to mature locals who are of the age that appreciate 80's soul, disco, boogie, funk, and reggae who are welcome to party hard with us.
