Inaugural Film Festival Opens Next Month

Film Festival 2011 Antigua St John's - The Motion Picture Association of Antigua & Barbuda, in conjunction with the UK-based Caribbean Film Corner, will host the inaugural Regional/International Film Festival from November 8 to 13.

Activities will include lecturers by regional and international film professionals for film enthusiasts; seminars in acting, scriptwriting, lighting, camera operations, sound, film, makeup, and music for movies; and a film workshop for secondary students.

There will be also two days of regional and local film productions at the Deluxe Cinema. The highlight of the festival will be a red carpet gala night on November 11 at the prestigious Copper & Lumber Store Hotel, which will wind down with an after-party featuring one of Jamaica’s top music icons.

This event will give sponsors a chance to meet one-on-one with all the invited celebrities.
