Antigua St John's - The Third Annual Antigua Dog Show will take place on Sunday February 5 at the Springhill Riding Stables in Falmouth.
Organisers have invited everyone to come out and support the show, whether they have a dog or not. Event chairman Janie Easten noted,
“Last year's event was a huge success, drawing over 300 people. This year, by popular demand, we are including in the show the K-9 Café that will serve local food and drinks. It will give non-dog owners a place to sit back relax and watch the fun."
Pedigree (Hutchinson Antigua Ltd) will also have a hospitality suite for dogs, complete with water bowls and biscuits.
Some of the competitions include Best Retriever, Fancy Dress, Most like Owner, Best Trick, Friendliest Dog, as well as an Agility Course (obstacle race) and much more. There is a $5 entry fee for all classes.
Pedigree’s Best of Show is awarded to the dog with the most points awarded from all the classes. The highlight of the event will surely be the Fancy Dress segment, organisers predicted, where owners and dogs can dress up and play out Halloween in Antigua.
There will be fun for the whole family, with pony rides, face painting, archery, and children's activities.
