Antigua St John's - Renowned entertainment spot Clouds at Halcyon Resort is set to reopen on Saturday May 5 as Antigua & Barbuda’s newest jazz club.

“Clouds has a long history of giving entertainment and enjoyment to generations of Antiguans & Barbudans, and it is this legacy that we intend to build upon,” said Norris Morris Harris, member of the venue’s new management committee.

Clouds is located on the northwest coast of Antigua at Halcyon Resort, one of the oldest resorts on the island. Situated on one of the highest points along this coast, one can enjoy spectacular views of the Caribbean Sea, the northwest coastline of Antigua, and it is the perfect spot to witness a colourful, magnificent sunset.

In fact, many will remember that this hilltop spot was popular among locals and visitors alike for parties, fetes, fashion shows and other events, as it covers separate areas – an upper level, sunset deck, an expansive dance floor, and a stage.

This special occasion will feature the incomparable Iddy Boston, no stranger to Antigua’s music scene.

He will pay tribute to the late Whitney Houston, celebrating her illustrious career through her songs. “I am both honoured and excited to pay tribute to Whitey Houston," Boston said.

"She was an amazing artist who changed the music industry for the better, and from a young age I was inspired by her to never stop reaching for my dreams." There will be other performances by the Verse 5 Improv Band and Ruel Browne, along with host for the night Harris.

The evening will begin at 7pm on Saturday May 5. Tickets cost $30 in advance, or $35 at the door.
